Rawer Productions presents…

By Tyger | May 6, 2008

So yeah, the production name sounds retarded. I got tired of using Mofo and this is the first thing I thought of.

Since January, I’ve been in a Video Production class for my local community college. From the sound of it, it seems that it would be some cheesy and dumb class where you learn absolutely nothing, especially being a community college. Fortunately, the professor was very experienced in the business, having been an employee of CBS News and had a hands-on experience with working with Hollywood movies and small documentaries.

At the end of class, I created an 11 minute short about a guy who wanted his money back. I never thought I’d pull this off, but it was created and finished. The following is my creation, which was placed on my Youtube account. There are a few mistakes with white balance and 1-2 jump cuts, but other than that, I think I’m proud to call this my first short. Enjoy!

The Couch Cast: Pilot Episode

By Tyger | April 24, 2008

So I actually did it. It’s JUNK, but it’s definitely a start. I’ll probably have to change the name after googling “Couch Cast” and finding a million shows that are called that. I’ll think of something witty.

After discussion with a few friends, I decided to do my first podcast tonight. It was only a test. First of all, we had no script and no format. We had one microphone connected to a camcorder (for amplifying purposes) which was connected to the computer for recording. It was a very ghetto setup. I edited about 3 minutes out of the podcast because it was junk.

I really need your feedback to let me know what sucks. Or if it all sucks. :) Be blunt and don’t back down. One thing you don’t need to tell me is that the volume sucks. I need an amplifier and multiple mics. Also, I need to keep everyone from beating the table on which the microphone sits. Haha. Other than those, please comment and suggest.

Without further ado:

The Couch Cast: Pilot Episode 1

(This is a comedic podcast that may contain vulgar language, sexual content, and offensive material. Discretion is advised.)

Time: 40:00
Description: This is the test episode to see how much we suck. We speak about death stars, disney stars, porn stars, and seeing stars. Oh my, starry eyed surprise. Enjoy!

Working Thoughts

By Tyger | October 30, 2007

img00056.JPG

I had to make copies of a document for a co-worker. Before I did that, I needed to get some blue paper from downstairs. I went and just grabbed a handful. I came back up and placed the blue paper in the paper tray. I entered for 10 copies before I realized that the copies were coming out too dark. I stopped the copier and used the light option. I, then, entered for 80 copies. To my surprise, after the 80 were finished, I went to remove the blue paper from the tray. They were all used. I didn’t even get to the white paper. I made the exact amount of copies from the handful I grabbed. Yes. This was a cool moment.

Also, I went down to the nurse today at work because I was having a very bad stomach ache. Shouldn’t have eaten the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, cole slaw, biscuit, caramel macchiato, chicken strips, and 3 Miller Lites last night. Yeah. So anyway, I went in and had to sign-in. I wrote my name and it had a slot for “Time”. It was 1030am. Coincidentally, it was 10/30/07 as well. So I decided to write “10/30 10:30″. Yeah, another cool moment.

 Welcome to my pointless thoughts.

The New Job

By admin | September 1, 2007

I never really got around to speaking about my new job that I acquired over 3 weeks ago. So let’s start from the beginning…

CHANGE img_1416.jpg

I am the Secretary of Health & Resource Management for the United States Postal Service North Florida District.

It makes me sound important, doesn’t it? Well, anyone could easily say that I’m just a Secretary. Anyone could make fun of me because my job title is a Secretary. Psh. My job isn’t difficult, but it definitely keeps me busy. And I definitely don’t mind being called a Secretary, because I’m the one making the good ass money without a college degree.

Anyway, my job deals mostly with Injury Compensation, basically employees with on-the-job injuries. There is a huge process to go through with 500,000,000 papers to fill out for employees that get hurt on the job. It’s part my job to make sure all the paperwork that is needed is turned in and filled out correctly. More than half the time, it isn’t done correctly. This hurts our department because of the fact that we have to have these documents processed within a specified amount of time of the injury.

On top of that, I have to keep these thousands of files for these thousands of employees in order and organized. Literally, thousands. We deal with injuries from Pensacola to Daytona, hence being called the North Florida District.

That’s pretty much it in a nutshell. There is always work to do and it makes my day go by VERY QUICKLY.

I work with 4 women, all aged at least 40 and up. They are all very laid back people and AWESOME to work with. They all know that they have a job to do, but they always make time to joke around, get food for everyone, provide chocolates for the office, etc. It’s such a wonderful environment. I’m so glad to have this job. I really am.

I think I’ve said enough. I better watch what else I say in case they google my website. Haha.

But yes, my job is absolutely wonderful.
